To celebrate 75 years of giving back, the �Ӱ���Ƶ Employees Community Fund (ECF) has set a goal to raise $750,000 during our anniversary campaign that will go directly to �Ӱ���Ƶ communities.

“I’ve been an ECF donor for more than 30 years, and I just love the concept of the power of the pooled fund. By pooling employee donations and making grants to local nonprofits, our dollars have the greatest impact to help people in the communities in which we work and live—that’s what ECF’s legacy is all about,” said Kim O’Rourke, ECF Southern California chapter grantmaking committee representative to the ECF Governance Board. “When we all give a little, it can add up to a really big impact.”

ECF is a nonprofit managed entirely by �Ӱ���Ƶ employees—one of the largest of its kind in the world. Employees elected to local chapter grantmaking committees work together to decide which local nonprofits to donate money to. 

In 2022, ECF chapters invested $6.7 million in local communities. ECF chapters support a total of 378 nonprofits in the U.S. Throughout its 75-year history, ECF has contributed approximately $1 billion dollars to communities.

Did you know that ECF wasn’t always called ECF? �Ӱ���Ƶ’s heritage companies McDonnell Aircraft Corporation, Douglas Aircraft, McDonnell Douglas and �Ӱ���Ƶ all had employee charitable organizations.

Throughout its 75-year history, the organization has been known as: �Ӱ���Ƶ Employees’ Good Neighbor Fund (�Ӱ���Ƶ), Employee Charity & Community Services (McDonnell Douglas) and Douglas Employees’ Association (Douglas Aircraft).
